Kingdom rapidly becoming one of the UK’s biggest providers for healthcare staffing solutions
Birmingham-based healthcare staffing specialist Brindley Medical has become part of the Kingdom Group of companies and it will now operate as Kingdom Medical Services.
The merger will allow Kingdom Medical to expand at scale, helping to meet the huge and growing demand for qualified professionals in the healthcare sector. Balraj Sohal will continue as Managing Director and all 22 staff are being retained, with the company continuing to operate from its current Birmingham-base.
The changes also mean that Brindley Recruitment which focuses on non-clinical staffing will now come under the Kingdom Group umbrella, forming part of existing Group company Kingdom Recruitment.
Kingdom Medical Services Managing Director Balraj Sohal says: “Brindley was founded just four years ago and in that time we’ve gone from strength to strength, meeting the challenges of the pandemic and more. Becoming part of the Kingdom Group of companies will help us to scale up even faster – not least in terms of technology and back-office support which are both crucial if we are going to help to meet the huge demand in the health and social care marketplace.”
The merger follows Kingdom’s 2021 purchase of specialist homecare services firm Trackars, to form Kingdom Healthcare. Kingdom Healthcare, which has over 250 staff and its head office in Belfast, also supplies healthcare staff to the NHS Framework.
With these latest changes, Kingdom is now one of the leading staffing solutions providers in the healthcare sector. The Group, headquartered in Newton-Le-Willows, was established over 25 years ago and supplies medical locums, nurses, midwives, theatre and ICU staff, healthcare assistants, security, and cleaning operatives across the UK.
Kingdom Group Chief Executive and Founder Terry Barton said: “We are delighted to welcome Balraj and the Brindley team to Kingdom Group. We share the same commitment to high standards and safe delivery of healthcare, delivered by trained, experienced and specialist healthcare professionals. Working together, we see great opportunities to scale up and offer the best possible support to both healthcare and non clinical clients as well as staff looking for permanent and temporary roles.”
