Kingdom is delighted to have secured a manned guarding contract for multinational facilities management and construction services company Carillion in Dumfries.
Carillion was created in 1999 after a demerger from Tarmac Group. Tarmac Group had been founded in 1903. At the time of the demerger, the Tarmac Group consisted of Tarmac Construction, Wimpey Construction, Cubitts and Mitchell Construction. This created two companies – Tarmac as a building materials company, and Carillion for support services and construction services. Since 1999 Carillion has acquired other well known companies, Mowlem (in 2006), Alfred McAlpine (in 2008), Vanbots (in 2008) and Eaga (in 2011).
